Are you eligible for Medicare? You may have SilverSneakers through your healthcare provider. Click here to see if you have SilverSneakers. If you're a SilverSneakers member, you can use the Y to work out, take a class or simply enjoy a cup of coffee. To get started as a SilverSneakers member at the Y, present your participating healthcare provider's ID card at the Welcome Center of the Y nearest you.

In their annual list of the fittest cities, the American Fitness Index ranked Kansas City 28th out of 50 cities. So it goes without saying, we're firmly in the middle of the pack. The rankings are done on a number of factors including the health of a city's citizens and the city's environmental factors like the number of recreation centers and parks.
