Rachel Brame - Aquatics Director
For Rachel, the best part of her job is seeing people enjoy the water and seeing children and adults overcome their fear of the water in swim lessons. Prior to joining the North Kansas City YMCA, Rachel was the Head Lifeguard at Platte County Community Center South operated by the Y, from March 2007 to January 2014 and the Aquatics Director at the Red Bridge Family YMCA. She also worked for the Hannibal YMCA as the Aquatics Coordinator while attending Hannibal LaGrange University, where she earned a degree in Recreation Management. During the summer of 2012, she worked as a Promotions Intern for the Kasnas City T-Bones baseball team. Rachel grew up in Kansas City, MO.

Michael Ginestra - Assistant Sports Director
Sports have always been a part of Michael's life, from playing youth sports to playing sports at Park Hill South High School and Carnegie Mellon University. When he began working for the Y in 2011, he knew he I had found the right place to continue to make athletics part of his life. "I am able to give back all that I've learned with a focus on the YMCA's four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility," Michael said. "I really enjoy seeing a child begin to understand a sport the right way. With a focus on sportsmanship and respect, our kids can learn life lessons applicable to everyday life." Before beginning his current role, he was a Sports Official, Youth Summer Camp Coordinator and a Sports Program Assistant. He grew up in Parkville, MO, and holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Brittanie Propes - Youth and Family Coordinator
Brittanie has been with the Y since January 2011 and in her current role as Youth and Family Coordinator at the North Kansas City YMCA since December 2014. "I love the sense of community at the Y--it makes me excited to come to work each day," she said. She worked at the Y part-time throughout college and began working full-time shortly after she graduated from Park University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication--Broadcasting. In her time at the Y, she has also served as a Membership Representative, Healthy Living Coach, Group Exercise Instructor, and Membership Engagement Coordinator. Her hobbies include yoga, hiking and kayaking. She also loves trying new food, so she makes an effort to visit a new restaurant, taco truck or hidden dive at least once a month. Brittanie grew up in Lawson, MO.

Raegan Schurr - Adaptive Program Director
Raegan has been involved with sports for youth and adults throughout her life and has worked with YMCAs across the region for more than 20 years. As Adaptive Program Director for the YMCA Challenger program, she leads  sports, recreational and social activities for young people with special needs. "I enjoy meeting new families, athletes and volunteers--and being able to accomadate their desires of playing sports," she said. "I love that I get to personally know every athlete and volunteer!" She joined the YMCA of Greater Kansas City in September 2008. Prior to that, she was a Program Director at the McPherson Family YMCA, Sports Director at East Branch YMCA in Wichita, KS, and Senior Program Director at McPherson Family YMCA/Recreation Commission.
