Welcome to Platte County Community Center in Platte City. The Platte County Community Centers, operated by the YMCA of Greater Kansas City, recently completed expansion projects, thanks to a voter-approved half-cent sales tax to fund Platte County Parks and Recreation.

New amenities include:

  • Expanded Kids Zone area
  • Full-size gymnasium
  • Indoor walking track
  • New cycle and group exercise studios
  • Expanded cardio equipment area with FitLinxx technology
  • State-of-the-art eight lane competition pool brought to you in partnership with the Platte County R-3 School District
  • New activity pool and resistance walk

This facility also offers FitLinxx- a computerized exercise tracking system that attaches directly to fitness equipment, adding an extraordinary “intelligent” dimension to your workout experience.  The system learns your exercise programs, coaches you through your workout, tracks progress over time, and provides a level of safety and confidence during every exercise. Come in today and let our Healthy Living Coaches show you how to maximize your workout experience!
