It's a Winter Wonderland at Platte County Community Center North!
Kids ages 2-11 will enjoy dinner, crafts, games, swimming, and so much more from 5-9pm Friday, January 10th.

Bitty Basketball- (instructional program for 3-4 year olds)
Session #2- January 14-January 30, 2009
Location- NKC/Parkville area
Tuesday/Thursday 6:00-7:00PM (6 total sessions)
Ages: 3-4 (must be 3 by December 5, 2008)

Challenger's Adaptive Sports Help All Children Score!
The YMCA of Greater Kansas City’s inclusive programming offers the Challenger program with sports for special-need kids (ages 5-16). Do you know a child with autism, PDD or Aspergers who might enjoy sports activities designed just for them? Please encourage their families to contact the Y to learn about these unique opportunities. Aquatics

Swim Lessons
- Group and private lessons are available year round.
- Choose from Parent/Child, Preschool, Youth & Adult lessons.
- Classes are available for all levels and abilities.
Swim Club
- Kids 5-18 who can swim the pool unassisted may participate.
- Swim meets are once a month.
- Monthly registration means you can join at any time.
GuardStart
- Youth 12 and up may participate.
- Youth will be prepared for the future completion of a lifeguard course.
- This is similar to Junior Lifeguarding.
Lifeguard Certification
- Get trained for a rewarding career.
- Learn to save a life.
- You must be 16 or older to participate.
Basic Water Rescue
- Participants learn how to protect themselves and others when around water.
- It's an excellent program for day care workers, police officers and other public service individuals who work around water.
- You must be 16 or older to participate.

YMCA Guest Policy
- Members over the age of 16 years old may bring one guest per visit.
- Each guest is asked to bring a photo ID and complete a guest pass.
- Guests may visit the YMCA three times per calendar year.
- Guests under the age of 13 should be supervised by guardian that is 16 years of age or older.
- Guests visiting the YMCA are asked to either come in with a member or have a guest pass with them.
Inclement Weather Policy
If inclement weather occurs, YMCA programs and child watch will operate normal activity schedules as appropriate. In cases of extreme weather (ice or more than two inches of snow) please call your neighborhood YMCA or visit www.kansascityYMCA.org/mediaCenter.com for more information.
