At Y Day Camp, the possibilities are endless. Kids have the opportunity to explore nature, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories. And, of course, it’s fun too.

EXPLORERS PRESCHOOL CAMP (3-5 years old)
In our Explorers Preschool Camp, children will participate in themed weeks with special guests, family events, hands-on learning and some splash time.
TRADITIONAL DAY CAMP (6-12 years old)
New experiences, skill-building, a sense of community and lasting friendships are all part of Traditional Summer Day Camp. Weekly themed activities allow campers to create arts and crafts, explore science and technology, swim, participate in field trips, appreciate nature, and better understand our many cultures.
HALF-DAY SPECIALTY CAMPS (6-12 years old)
Kids can explore their passions or discover a new passion through our Half-Day Specialty Camps. Your child can pursue their special interests and learn new skills in a safe and fun environment with other campers.
TEEN PROGRAMS (12-18 years old)
Teen Camp (12-14 years old)
This summer’s soundtrack will have a playlist you'll never forget.Teen Camp is filled with fun and exciting day trips, so your teen won’t feel like they are in a day camp but like they are hanging out with friends in a supportive and challenging environment.
Summer of Service (12-18 years old)
Youth Volunteer Corps of Greater Kansas City, hosted by the Y, offers an eight-week program for youth ages 11-18. The intensive summer volunteer opportunity allows youth to serve their communities.
Counselor In Training (CIT) (14-16 years old)
Teens can have fun as they gain leadership skills and learn to work effectively with children. CITs receive training and mentoring as they assist in day camp programs and field trips.
Leadership Camp (12-15 years old)
New this year is our Leadership Camp for youth ages 12-14 years old. Youth will have the opportunity to take risks, set personal goals and have fun each week through different activities.
YMCA of Greater Kansas City will be providing an outdoor destination day camp experience for youth ages 6-12 years old that will include opportunities to explore the great outdoors while meeting new friends.
