Children are finding ways to reach their fullest potential with the help of our Y STARS program. In Y STARS (Students Taking Action to Reach Success), at-risk children in fourth through sixth grade who are struggling with academics are paired up with high school students for one-on-one or small group tutoring and mentoring. Results show that the elementary school children improve both academically and socially, with improved grades, better communication skills and increased self-esteem.
