Youth Baseball (T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Kid Pitch)
Early Bird Registration Deadline: April 9
Registration Deadline: April 16
Children stay active and are part of a team with Youth Baseball in our T-Ball, Coach Pitch and Kid Pitch leagues. In a positive and structured environment, children develop baseball skills including throwing, catching, hitting and baserunning. Not only will children have an opportunity to improve their technique, but they'll also build social skills, gain confidence and develop leadership skills. Dedicated volunteer coaches are trained to set expectations, and help kids find their strengths and advance their skills. The Y accepts individual and team registrations. For ages 5-6, T-Ball gives kids an opportunity to develop baseball skills in a positive environment structured for them to be successful. They'll learn running, batting, catching, throwing and basic game play.
Kids 7-8 year olds transition from hitting off a tee to hitting a moving pitch with Coach Pitch. At the same time, they'll continue to develop skills in running, batting, catching and throwing. Everyone plays, and everyone is part of the team.
Kid Pitch provides an opportunity for ages 9-12 years old to continue to advance their skills, stay active and be part of a team. In a structured and positive environment, kids will improve technique in running, batting, catching and throwing. Players hit off an opposing pitcher.
Baseball pants are required but not provided. Practices start after April 30. Click here to download a spring sports brochure.
