Each week features a unique theme with fun-filled activities that allow for physical movement, social interaction, emotional opportunities, leadership building, personal growth and creativity.
The Y provides before and after care during district summer school programs at select school districts. Like Youth Day Camp, participants can explore a variety of interests and have fun along the way. Activities include arts and crafts, science and technology, nature and more.
Ys outside of the metro offer overnight camp experiences.
Tucked in the beautiful Flint Hills of Kansas, Camp Wood YMCA gives youth an opportunity to participate in life-changing outdoor experiences that foster healthy decision-making, lasting friendships, skill development and strengthened values in a safe, friendly environment. Traditional and teen camps are available all summer, as well as specialty camps
Nestled on 98 beautiful acres in the Ozarks, YMCA Camp Wakonda is part of the Ozarks Regional YMCA in Missouri. More than just a summer camp, Camp Wakonda is an adventure! Kids unplug, explore the outdoors, build confidence, and discover who they are in a fun and supportive environment. Options include traditional camps and teen leadership programs.

There’s nothing more important to us than your child’s safety. Our camp staff are CPR and First Aid certified, trained in child safety and undergo rigorous background checks.
We also follow strict child-to-staff ratios and maintain constant supervision. Y camps are licensed by state agencies, and we take additional precautions on field trips, including frequent headcounts, water breaks and restroom checks. Trust us to provide a safe and fun camp experience for your child.
